Molly and I planted strawberries a couple of weeks ago, and we are so happy to see how big they are getting! And since sun has come to Seattle for almost a week in a row, we have needed to water the plants ourselves! Molly is more than happy to do this.
Molly helped me add compost around the plants, and is even more excited now that she has learned about composting from Curious George!
Look at those flowers...mmm--yummy berries!

Dance Class!
One of Molly's Christmas gifts this year (from contributions from many different friends and family) was a dance class.
Auntie Joan provided Molly her first pair of ballet shoes:

This week, Molly and Mommy, attended our first class! SO much fun! 45 minutes is a long time to listen, follow directions and wait for your turn, so we were exhausted after it was all over.
Thank you, Uncle Joel for the dance clothes!

Martin Luther King Weekend: SNOW in Seattle!
Before the snow, Molly and Mommy visited our dear friend, Rebecca's house, to feed her chickens...a little urban farmyard!

The forecasted snow arrived in the middle of a three-day weekend--what timing!
So, Molly woke up, threw a coat and boots over her pajamas to go touch it in the front yard:

Later in the day, we put on proper snow clothes and went for a walk around the neighborhood, and then made snow angels with Daddy in the front yard.

But the snow kept coming...

We ended up being "stuck" in our house for a few days with roads that were icy and snowy. We don't have very many snow plows in Seattle, so the steep roads are pretty scary to navigate with so many cars to hit on the side of the road.
To cap off the week, we all got a virus and spent our time resting and feeling crummy. I was so glad for that week to end!
