Molly's First Shower

No cute baby pictures yet, but here's a little update:
I want to take a moment to gush--my workplace is SO supportive! A fantastic hostess, Ruth Ann, opened her beautiful home to host 23 co-workers for a luncheon on June 13th. This wonderful gathering was co-hosted by another dear friend, Joan, who made an incredible lunch for all of us! (Joan is pictured below in the photo with the bunny).

Then, these same women spent another hour offering words of advice with their gifts to Molly...it was an incredible honor to hear from some of the parenting veterans, and from gals younger than me--everyone had something to add. Much of the advice focused on maintaining a good relationship with Nick, because everything else will flow out of that.

Joan even gave my mom a "Grandma" gift--a super soft bunny. Needless to say, my mom was thrilled! She's a sucker for the little, soft and cute.

My mom provided me with three very special gifts that made me very teary (along with the hormones):

1) a handmade blanket made by my Grandma Court who passed away in 2004.

2) a photo album of me as a baby and little kiddo because I never got a "baby album" since I was Kid #2. The second half of the album is ready for pictures of Nick (which we just got from his mom!).

3) PICTURED TO THE RIGHT: a beautiful quilt that my mom made for Molly's crib, that matches every inch of her nursery--what a labor of love!

Two more gifts that I want to mention:

Two books about Korean folktales (from Glo)

and a handknitted "Komi" ("bear" in Korean) made by my dear friend, Jieun. PICTURE TO BE ADDED SOON...

I felt so spoiled and supported. Many thanks to the women who gave their Saturday morning to helping us prepare for Molly's arrival.
